It's too soon to test the market for another family lounge crawl - it was made clear to me again this trip. Hence I selected the QF lounge (first timer) as I was an inquisitive newbie.

likely a good idea with the family in tow ... especially since there is little complimentary food in the A/C's.

I've never actually done a lounge crawl at DFW - 'cause the A B & C lounges are quite a walk from the stations.

I really liked this flight. 16hrs sounds like a miserable experience however, it was a magic flight with a happy, helpful and efficient crew.

The sagging skybed Mk11 caused a pain in my lower back.....geez, QF need to sort this. Pity I had no rolly to do Serfty's trick.

Apart from the bed the flight was a dream. Mind you we were happy to walk off at BNE and head home.

The dreaded Chicken Schnitzel was on the menu. Never Again!

Great trip report.. Feels like I've been away on holiday.

On the first page you spoke about getting into the Flounge at BNE and having only one guest. It is QF policy that children under the age of 18 are not considered guests and can have access with an adult. But that's BNE for you.

Thanks ABC1 Yes, the agent in BNE was completely and utterly wrong! I suppose that's what 21 years in the same job does to some people..

If you'd been coming home on Sat (1st) you would have had an extra a night as it appears QF8 went tech that night and was delayed by a day

A little sad our flight wasn't delayed. We're addicted to travel and a delay (as long as it doesn't cost you $$ in terms of other bookings) out of the blue can be nice!

There are a few Melbourne trams in the States. I was surprised to see one in Seattle a few years ago.

There's also 2 in San Francisco.

Man, these old girls are everywhere. It was pleasing to see the history displayed.....lucky for us they did since she was heading to the scrap yard!

Yes Jessica eliminating Miami and replacing that city with Orlando,West Palm Beach or Tampa was something I learned as I have never been to Miami.
Amaroo did a wonderful TR that is for sure.

I will have to catch up on this TR after I finish mine. LOL.

Next year's metal cruise is sailing out of Fort Lauderdale instead of Miami. I don't mind MIA as an airport but I can take it or leave it as a city in my limited experience. In it's defence though, I have basically used Miami as a transit port to/from my cruise.
