Hi andye, I'm not actually purchasing off someone from eBay, but an actual 3rd party non-merchant e.g. if I want to buy something off someone on gumtree or somewhere else and they asked me to send them money via PayPal goods and services as opposed to paying cash. Does that entitle me to $1/point?
 
Sorry, I was replying to an antiquated post in the thread. My experience is that if you pay with paypal supported by an Amex you get the standard 1 point

I'm not sure - but if it does, it opens up some interesting possibilities.
 
I understand now. Not done this myself. My understanding is that eBay comes down hard on transactions that are outside T&Cs so tread carefully
