Platinum 1 Call

Based on Thursday's conversation it is just on QF metal and generally out of revenue buckets. For example a WP can request from say A class (discount F) but a WP1 will be able to request from F class (full fare F). It would be fascinating to get some real world data from WP1s on the forum - for example if doing a couple of bookings they could check what availability there is in various fare buckets before they book/request seats it would be really interesting for the rest of us.

I'm also quite interested in this and whether it is effectively just a (x)ASA for Classic prices, minus this SC earn etc

Now that you mention it, that would be consistent with Steph's comment of 'P1's will be able to ask for redemption seats out of commercially available revenue seats'. It's a xASA for the cost of a Classic, and as you say, minus the SC's and points.

Got the "congratulations you've made P1" call on Friday morning. The information pack will be out in the mail "in the next couple of weeks". 7820 SC's over the last 12 months with 5110 on QF...

I forget the exact but think it was around 5400, nearly all QF. On 2570 already since june with 3 long haul trips left for the year (until dec) so will hit similar SC this round

Not happy I missed the call, was eating lunch and didnt even hear it. Wouldnt have mind knowing more but the message said that they will send an email soon which may fill in a few blanks

As I wrote in the AFF Meeting QFF CEO thread, I had a call last week from QFF welcoming me to Platinum 1 - along with lots of questions. Maybe the team is all set up with no-one to talk to yet and they just wanted a chat - well it is based in Canberra.....

They did say I was an unusual case - 80% of my flights are domestic Y (in the last 12 months 132 sectors on QF metal :shock: + another 12 on OW/JQ) whereas most of the WP1s are "the opposite"!

I don't know if its any reassurance, but Steph said that the highest SC count was somewhere in the order of 10k..

Happy to let you know how it goes, but they told me today that they do not go live until 7 Nov, so might need to wait a couple of weeks.

Yes, we started making calls last Thursday to those who will be in the inaugural group to welcome them to Platinum One. Those calls have not finished yet.
New cards will start to be sent out from next week.

Just had my call. Very nice indeed.

I asked about card design and was told that it's top secret and I'd have to wait as there are some design tweaks.

Well, he did start a thread, but one of the mods merged it into the one I started before him, so it now looks like it's all part of the same thread.

If I'd known Red Roo would show up so promptly with the news I probably wouldn't have bothered; I saw AusBT's tweet about the announcement, and was surprised to find that not only wasn't the discussion into the 17th page here already, but that there wasn't even a new thread for it yet!

First post ever....Hi!

Haven't recieved "the call" yet....maybe I won't? Just scraped in. My SC's expire end October, Currently sitting on excatly 3600 SC's and would you believe 2740 Qantas earned. Good timing. Have earned over 4000 SC's per year in the past, but after reading some of the astronomical SC's earned by others, I am probably way down the list.

Lets wait and see.
