Engineers australia do a gold, plat edge ($149) and platinum ($950).
Plat edge has free virgin flight still
Can also opt in to qantas on the edge :)

EA is my route to the $950 annual fee. It came with 100k bonus points at the time instead of the 120k that was available by referrals but the $250 saving in annual fees was the winner for me since I was planning to keep the card.

With the difference in the annual fee of here vs. US, I'd think ours should already be metal, with a diamond for the Centurion's eye. What I'd like to see is no overseas commission fees, or some other added travel perk, instead of changes that make members question the value of the card....

I agree with this particularly the overseas commission fees.

Called Amex for any update. Nothing from their end, apparently unaware of any changes to the AU issued card. If they at least remove forex fees I'd be happy.

Doubt we will see any change to the card in Australia, with the latest regulation there wouldn't be anyone who can challenge Amex in the premium card category.
