SYD-LHR in Y flex would net 280 SC return. 13 of those should take you over the line. Though, personally, I'd throw a few upgrade requests in to make it more bearable.
Thankfully I did most of my UK runs in the old-fitout A380, in the upstairs mini-cabin, with a couple down the back in the new fitout. The A380 I could handle, but I never would have gone near the 787 for that flight in Y.
 
try to hit the next unicorn status - Platinum One Economy...
Had two years as P1 (when it first came out) based mainly on domestic Y - although it was flexi but no points. No DSC. The record was 7 sectors in a week. So it can be done. Achieved LTG in 5 years. Crazy times. Never again.
Happy with Platinum now but still 26000 SC away from LTP so shows you how pointless that is.
