With banks everywhere cutting points earn on credit cards, is it likely that the 3 points per dollar on supermarket spend will be reduced in the near future?

Who can say for certain, but I really hope not! The good news is that it gives AMEX a point of differentiation over the banks and thus they should be attracting loads of new customers. Hopefully for this reason alone they keep it as it is!

I saw a thread on AFF last year where some Amex members had been surveyed about changing MR Ascent points value last year. I hope they've decided to do nothing with it.
