Slightly O/T but I had a strange one. I took my first flight as a 'proper' WP today (had one before the SC's had credited) and the BP said quite obviously "EMERALD" as I would have expected. I then checked-in for another 2 flights, one QF codeshare on AA Metal and one on QF metal. The Codeshare has "SAPPHIRE" and the QF has "EMERALD". Anyone got any idea why that would be? I'm assuming my points will credit as WP, but curious as to what the AA booking engine has done.

Anyone got an ideas?

Simply because the AA system checked the status at the time that the FF number was inserted and hasn't since rechecked it

Points will credit based on actual status

Both flights were booked months back. They gave me both BP's at the same time (for the codeshare and the QF flight). Seems strange that's all.

Mind you, my friend who just became PS on the same trip has no status on his BP but their system shows Ruby. Strange.

As I posted on another thread. During our recent trip my wife's AA boarding passes showed her as OW Ruby and mine showed nothing. As Dave Noble stated, everything posted as per the correct status. :D

If you have had a ticket issued by AA, the ticket will show your Oneworld status.

As I understand it, your status for that PNR remains the ticketed status, even if you have gone up (or down?).

This happened to me a number of years ago where boarding passes for some Oneworld flights had the old status printed on them while others had no status printed on them.

I would not worry what status is printed on a boarding pass unless you needed this as proof to get into the lounge. SCs and FF points will post for your current status.

Agreed I had no issues at all (the points haven't yet credited but should do overnight).

All flights were booked months ago when I was still Sapphire. Some printed out as Emerald, others as Sapphire. In the end, as long as they all credit fine, it's all moot:)
