Didn't think I'd be flying tonight (hoping to fly earlier today), so didn't pre-allocate the seat. Went to check in online - no other seats on the plane, and I'm in 25D (second to last row).

Oh joy.

Not a bad seat if you want to get off quick, its well known though that the lounge angels have the power to improve your seating...

I had forgotten about the rear stairs (don't seem to often be used CBR to BNE on the gates near the lounge), doesn't really bother me but just seemed a bit of an odd allocation.

Will be interested to see how the service works out.

That is odd. Im a regular Silver flyer in Y and when I did online check-in last weekend was auto allocated 4A. Was pleased with that!

I haven't flown on an E Jet since June last year, but when I did they only boarded/deboarded via the front (leaving the rear for catering)

Has this changed?

They boarded by both on my flights to MKY and NTL recently.

I decided not to check in, on the basis that the seat couldn't really get any worse, and I'd just arrive very early (office is 500m walk from the airport).

Present my card at the Lounge, and am handed back a boarding pass for 2F!

Well pleased! Will be interested to see if I get the full business service, or just flexi. Either way, very happy to be up front.

If you are in rows 1/2 on a J class route, you will be treated like a J class guest. Full catering is not guaranteed though.
