I am about to totally give up on Delta Skymiles.

Some people on FT would not be surprised at the incompetence of Delta Skypesos. I take it you don't have any status with them, so add "especially..." in the appropriate location.

No status but it is also not a lot of miles so I don't really care but it is not a good experience and would not leave me with a lot of confidence for any future issues to be resolved.

We don't know how lucky we are dealing with Qantas frequent flyer centre or even customer care.

What can you do when the customer service people we have to deal with have no common sense.
It would appear the last email I sent earlier in the week (or this thread) has finally seen some common sense and my Skymiles account has been credited with the missing KLM flight. :D
