I found a bug with the discount page. I searched for Adelaide to London then changed to Adelaide to Auckland but it just kept giving me flights to London. Now I realise this Internet thingy is new for Adelaide but surely QF, an IT outfit in the big smoke of Sydney, can get things right?

bwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Actually, I must give it to them. Their IT maybe top-notch, but there is a chasm between those and the marketing people. I am P1, based in Australia, WANT TO BOOK A FLIGHT (strange I know), and yet they have made it impossible to actually do this.

Speaking as a P1 who may have been involved in coding QF systems in a former life , well, let's say the irony meter was at 100%

I've had success. On an international business saver fare, the fare was reduced from $2748 to 2268. That's a reasonable saving.

Ah, takes me back to the day when, after one of their periodic site fiddles, they re-launched it with the total inability to book a business ticket. Took 'em about 6 hours to correct IIRC.

Had a look at the offer this afternoon and didn't find it to be that enticing. Shaved about $100 off the return trip I was looking at, any more annoyingly, when using a gift voucher it didn't appear to work... but then again maybe I'm being cheeky expecting to double up on 2 promotions ;)

It won't work because you need to use the dedicated booking page, which does not allow for vouchers - you can't use the voucher redemption page and expect the discount to be applied, even though it uses more or less the same (mega old) booking engine interface.

and yes it would be nice to do a delayed booking with this :)
