This, AFF, is why Platinum One is special.
(Anyone still whinging that it doesn't include guaranteed op-ups? ).

Looks like an amazing experience trippin! Thanks for the great TR. :)

Cheers,
- Febs.

Awesome TR, awesome experience. Count me among those who are green with envy.

I've looked at the photos & read the report maybe another 6 times, and I'm still enjoying it!!

And also seeing the pic of the Platinum 1 reception also brings back into focus how great Wednesday night was too. I'm thinking Qantas thought so too, seeing the bar eventually called for last drinks around 11:30pm. In my room there was a note for guests saying it would all be quiet after 10pm!!!

I really do shudder to think how much Qantas pays John Travolta to be their Ambassador. I know he is a flying nut but he is also an incredibly wealthy, succesfull and busy actor.

Perhaps thats where their international profits are going?

Why is it that there always has to be one person who tries to find a negative out of what was clearly a joyful experience for those who were lucky enough to take part?

And for what its worth, I believe you might find that QF actually pays JT very little, in terms of cash; more like payment-in-kind through the ongoing maintenance of his 707.

so thats why teh plane was flitting around!

saw it taxiing from teh F lounge on Thursday
alans legal may even have a pic!

Wow - what a great life experience.

I count myself lucky that I can see a little of it via your brilliant TR.

Thanks for posting it's a real treat:mrgreen:

Wow! What a wonderful life experience and such a fantastic description in both words and pics for fellow AFFers.

I thought the menu had such a poignant touch by using Jett's name. I know the aircraft is known as Jett Clipper Ella, but the menu was Jett Clipper Johnny......a very intimate touch for special QF pax, very special indeed.

Thank you for sharing

one word "Jealous" comes to mind....

...seriously, great photos, closest I will get to inside JTs plane.

We were jealous you got to do the Dreamliner tour.
Being DYKWIA types, we were hoping for the trifecta - Dreamliner Wednesday morning, P1 Launch reception Wedneday night (although any P1 could go), and N707JT (:D).

Now we just need your trip report from the Dreamliner kpc ...

Amazing experience. Thanks for sharing.

However, the most relevant question for this forum... what QFF points and status credits did you earn?

Although a strict read of the Status Credit table would lead you to believe that a flight of 0 miles did actually yield Status Credits
