If I book a trip to an international destination on a flexi VA ticket, can I use one of my platinum vouchers to upgrade to J on one of the connecting domestic flights on the itinerary? Operated by VA obviously, and on a VA flight number... international legs operated by SQ, if that matters.

Anyone have experience doing that? The website just says domestic flight, not domestic-only itinerary, so it shouldn't be a problem, but I don't want to pay for the flexi only to find it doesn't work!

I have used my WP upgrades on the domestic sectors of international bookings on numerous occasions (say BNE-PER on a BNE-PER-SIN booking). These have been Flexi fares (class L or higher) where the flights all have VA flight numbers and issued on VA ticket stock.

Yes, I've done this as well - we'd booked PE last year PER-SYD-LAX return, and as PE on the domestic sectors books into the Flexi fare class, I was able to use my two remaining WP upgrades for the PER-SYD sector for both of us.
