One of the challenges I have is to ensure that AFF is adequately funded so that we can continue to provide the quality services I know you all appreciate. Services like a professionally-maintained website, daily news articles, newsletters, podcasts, flight tracking services etc.
Costs keep rising and rather than simply increasing the paid subscription fees or introducing even more advertisements, I've come up with a solution which I think will work for both AFF as a business and AFF as a community:
When purchasing travel goods online, I'm asking you to consider purchasing through our new Community Online Store. We have done the hard work for you - there are literally thousands of travel products available on Amazon, and our store includes only those products which we know would be useful to frequent flyers. Many of these products are discussed and recommended by our members.
You pay the identical price as you would have had you purchased directly from Amazon, but we get a (very) small commission of between 5% and 10% on the goods you would have purchased anyway.
If you are planning on purchasing travel products, please go to our Community Online Store, select your items and then checkout in the normal way. You will be directed to amazon.com.au to make your payment - you'll receive your purchases from Amazon (with all the benefits such as a trusted supplier, great prices, free returns etc) and we will get our small commission.
Thank you for your support. It's much appreciated!
