I started in Japan and now expanding into china. However I've opened goosebay and Montreal and have put a cargo aircraft over there.

What does the carbon upgrade do in game terms.

Carbon fiber?

It reduces the aircraft weight which would supposedly make the flight more profitable. It would also give better range but I tried it on a smaller aircraft and saw no difference. YMMV.

Best upgrade seems to be Fuel Tanks, until you get to class 3, at which point it hardly matters if you have airports in the right locations.

I'm certainly not too interested in getting to Goose Bay as all my aircraft are now class 2 and higher, but will participate with TeamAFF in the next class 2 airport or higher global event.

Me neither... Having said that, it'd be a good feature if they can allow your fellow team mates to pile on goods/cargoes to a hub and other team mates with smaller planes (e.g., lower levels) can then pick up and deliver - kind of like how an alliance works. Just need to work out how to divide up the profit...

Upgrades certainly increase the cost of flights.

Yeah carbon fibre. Theoretically, it should extend the range but as you say it doesn't appear to do that. I guess in game terms it must just reduce the cost.

I typically open up the event airport and another nearby (preferably class 2) then have two dedicated mohawk's (1 x P & 1 x C) to complete the task. After the event is done, the airport is closed and you get half of your money back.

I did that a couple events ago, but now have a fleet of Sequoia's and Aeroeagle's and my next plane spot is going to cost me over $500k. Still, I may retire one plane just to help out a little. But waiting for the next level to free up an airport slot as I'm not willing to give up any airports ;)

Sheesh I am very far behind...

Don’t forget some of us have vastly more free time than others. The other day I jumped up two levels in a day ;) it was a very boring day :(

It's given 2 extra airports, so use them wisely. I bought an airport I was going to use at level 24 and Goose Bay, so will be on the list and contributing soon! Long flight in a Kangaroo from NY!

FYI for those wondering:

Level 10 = Birchcraft
Level 12 = Equniox
Level 14 = Pearjet
Level 16 = Aeroeagle
Level 20 = Fogbuster
Level 22 = Sequoia
Level 24 = Tetra
Level 26 = Cyclone
Level 28 = Cloudliner

I'm personally waiting for a Cyclone that I hope will earn me $20k from a single flight!

I am doing runs from London the long way to Goose. Glasgow, Reykjavik, Nuuk, Goose. Slow progress. Just opened BOS with Pearjet running from LON so that may speed things up.

Finished in 2nd for that challenge, but not finding many that want to get to Mahajanga from airports nearby (of which I've always owned Khartoum, Nairobi and Kinshasa) :(

So I have a Huey controller and a Starship body if anybody wants those bits. Also can send most other plane parts up to the Tetra, but am about 400,000 XP from level 26. And I've already made 20,100 coins from a flight :D

I finished 5th on the team. Was third most of the way but had a weekend away from the ipad :(

I wont make the next one - Europe too far from Africa for me.

Least I know one of the members I passed on my way when I was checking the iPad every half an hour ;)

I was second for a lot of that challenge but had a busy weekend away from the iPad...

Although I have Cairo I wont be doing the Mahajanga challenge - it's a level 1 airport and can't be bothered with that...

I assume it will sync if you do a heap of deliveries while in flight mode?

Also gives you an achievement if you deliver 100 jobs so I'm treating it as a 2 birds/1 stone scenario ;)

Got to level 26, Cyclone costs 44/262 bux... Need to save :)
