Trying to do some research on best way to maximise points and travel now that we have several small businesses with +$500K annually in spending. Came across the Point Hacks Website and some of the info looks legit but then other parts not so sure and harder to pick if it is 'independant'. Any thoughts on this or other information sources to help me in the search would be greatly appreciated.

Point Hacks is IMO a trustworthy and reliable source of information. Keith always states what info provided generates him income (Credit Card referrals etc). Much if not all of what is on there can be found here and on other forums such as Flyertalk but in an easily digestible version.

Another blogging site to look at for info is Boarding Area

I am not affiliated with either of these sites.

I like it and agree with Princess Fiona. Until recently, it seemed to be largely a one-man show, so would tend to lean towards Keith's experiences.
No conflict of interest from me

Seems fine to me. Some of its drive seems to be toward generatimg afiliate income, especially with credit cards, but that aside, I think it is worthwhile reading for what you are looking for.

Agree Keith's Point Hacks site is a very well put together and reliable web site and its a good place to start learning about buying US miles.

+1 from me too. i've even emailed him privately many times through the website to ask for advice and he's been very generous with his time at no cost to me - in return i try to use his website to sign up for cards i'm gonna get anyway

Thanks all. I run Point Hacks and it's been a while since I dropped into AFF, but this thread surfaced so I thought I'd chip in.

This thread was actually the catalyst for me to finally write up what the site is about today, at About Point Hacks and plans for the site in 2016 - Point Hacks, which to MarkyMarkOZ' original post may help give some additional background.

I won't add much else in the interest of avoiding self-promotion, but while the site is commercial in nature, I'd hope it could still be considered trustworthy. Thanks for reading.

I regularly read the posts on point hacks and think it's a great source of information. Keith does a good job with posting relevant information that is useful to both experienced frequent flyers and those who are still new to the game like myself =)

If you join the community there's a really good credit card document outlining all of the point earnings for each FF program which is very handy.

I have found Point Hacks to be full of useful accurate information especially helpful for novice frequent flyers looking to maximise their flight award options.

I am a huge fan of the site, it gave me great advice and got me started into this whole points hobby

I've sent it on to many friends who wanted to learn about buying miles and how to use them.

I started reading point hacks last year in the build up to my first official annual leave. It helped me understand how to travel both ways in J and also how to improve my points earn.

I do my best to apply for CC offers via the website. I'd like Keith to earn income from that so the website can remain free.
