Hi Serfty,

For one week only, enjoy $50 off a return Qantas flight within Australia, in the cabin of your choice.

Simply:

1. Select your domestic Qantas flights on qantas.com for travel between 1 November 2023 and 30 June 2024.

2. Enter your unique voucher code ... when prompted on the payment page.
And remember to log in to your Frequent Flyer account to also earn Qantas Points on eligible flights.

From coastal getaways to rural escapes and city stays - experience the incredible beauty of Australia for less. Hurry, this exclusive Points Club offer is only valid until 17 September 2023.

Requires Voucher code.

This line from the T&Cs suggests that it may be $50 off for each passenger on the booking:

Unique promo code (in the body of this email) to be entered on the payment page for a $50 discount on the base fare, per passenger (excluding infants)

Very interesting. Unfortunately the only booking I need to make is international - will see whether it applies to domestic legs of those international flights.

Just in time! I’ve been meaning to book a SYD-MEL flight for the beginning of next year, and I just missed the previous sale. $50 off brings it back down to the sale price.

Hmm, I make Points club tomorrow (Health insurance points should hit) wonder if I'll get the voucher as still before 17th...

Of course receive this a day after I had to book a short notice flight for next week.

Don't have any other need to book unless there is a super sale on right now for next year (there isnt) so will likely go to waste.

The sale price will likely come back when this voucher expires next week.
I would not be surprised at all if it does. I only have this one domestic flight that I need to book, so I may as well book it now. No loss either way!

Of course, the other question is “just because I don’t need to fly, doesn’t mean I cant book another holiday”…

Not sure if you can stack these vouchers or not - but perhaps you can?

In any case, we've already just made a MEL-SYD booking so won't be using this one before the expiry date. If anyone wants my code, just PM me and you can use it!

I had some domestic travel planned but not booked and can confirm it was $50 per passenger plus GST discounted (so $110 off for 2 pax).

I can forward you my email?

I'm generally having issues receiving emails from QF these days. I don't get promos, the platinum newslettter etc. I've confirmed I'm subscribed to everything. Opened a support ticket but looks like still an issue. Grrr

I don't have actually have use for it, but thanks for the offer :)

Can you pass the voucher on to a friend/family member who is not a PC member?

The T&C indicate "Offer limited to Points Club and Points Club Plus members", but who knows if that is enforced.

I had this situation for some time. In the end I changed the email address in my profile and they began to flow again.

I have to admit I read such offers with wariness, having been trained through experience to beware of red rats bearing gifts. I imagined $50 off flights costing a bomb, but when I got my $50 off voucher I found I could use it to book a ticket at a reasonable price, so I have burned my voucher already.

First time I've seen a credit or voucher grossed up by 10%. My domestic only itinerary got me $55 off, not $50. I think the script kiddies screwed up here as the prices quoted on the QF consumer website are GST inclusive, so the GST component of the $50 is $4.54, not $5.

Be interested to see if anyone uses it (or can use it) on an international flight and gets $55. If the flight has an international component there is no GST collected on the domestic sectors of the (GST-free) international flight. The T&Cs hint that it must be a domestic itinerary. But they also say that the voucher doesn't come off taxes.

Cheers skip
