Do not fly QF much these days but have a stash of points. Just got an alert saying they are about to expire. Might usually grab a domestic flight to keep the active but that is not happening now. No credit cards or anything else linked to QF. I can't seem to see whether if I just buy 1000 points it will renew them? I know if I buy wine it will renew but wasn't sure about the point purchase. Sorry if it is obvious but my searches haven't turned it up.

There would be cheaper ways to keep your account active depending on how long you have to gain the points

Only for to the end of the month apparently. I had thought the status guarantee decision might be extended to a points expiry freeze but alas not.
