Hi all
Trying to get some clarification because I've heard different things from different people.
Last month I flew Air Berlin from Copenhagen to Dusseldorf. It was a ticket marketed by Etihad Airways and operated by Air Berlin (EY1483/AB8041). My understanding is that I am still entitled to points for this flight (the Velocity mileage calculator tells me its 385 miles). Velocity has told me that points cannot be earned on codeshare flights other than those operated by Virgin Australia.
Is this correct? How does one earn points on the CPH-DUS route if VA doesn't codeshare? Or is there a codeshare number I'm just not aware of.
On a happier note, I got Gold on this trip and had access to the AirBerlin Waiting Lounge in Dusseldorf.
