I'm a member of Asiamiles and FF. I want to move all my points from Asiamiles to FF, does anyone know if that's possible? It's not a huge amount in Asiamiles (under 20k), but it would be nice to put into FF.

As far as i am aware there is no way to do it. Sometimes you can do these things by moving them to a hotel program and then to another airline but i don't think so in this case.

Very few Frequent Flyer programs provide any means to move your miles/points out of the program. they may allow different redemption options including free flights, upgrades, hotel accommodation, retail vouchers or their own merchandise/shops. But the ability to transfer points out to other programs is not common for airline FF programs. Qantas and AsiaMiles are certainly ones that do not offer that option. Once miles/points are in those programs, they can only be redeemed within that program.

Thanks, flashware. I have been reading for a while now and really impressed by the amount of information that are on this forum.

It may be possible to exchange FF points/miles from Points.Com but I do not consider them cost effective.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to move points from one FF program to another FF program cost effectively?
