Conversation on Instagram indicates it is going to Rolls Royce as a test bed. No idea if that will turn out to be true or not

Still the last regular 747-400 flight for Qantas.
This represents the most significant type that Qantas has owned - 23 aircraft over the years.
(QFi only).
I believe QF has operated more than 60 747 in every iterations including the -SP and -Combi except for the 747-8
If I remember correctly they operated around 30-35 707-138 and 707-338.
767 numbered around 40

And around 28 A330.

I've posted in the more recent thread on the QF99 final US 747 service on 9 February but can't for the life of me find it.

So, how many 747s does QF have left? Was there a commitment made that they would all be retired this year? If this is the last US service, presumably this means that the remaining 747s won't end up at Victorville (at least not by way of a commercial flight). That would suggest their lasts flights would be inbound to Australia (originating JNB or SCL, for example). That said, I thought there was a "final US 747" service last year so maybe this isn't the final after all.

I have an opportunity to take the 9 February flight but the onwards details aren't ideal. I'd definitely like to be on a final flight, though.
