I am sorry if this sounds like a silly question and if i missed the joke - but has Amex confirmed they will double our points to make up for the devaluation ? I had read it somewhere else before Christmas too but haven't seen any official notification.

The points are quite close to my heart and have been thinking of where to transfer them to since the day they announced the devaluation.....:(
I'm pretty sure TH has a Charge so gets an automatic doubling

I can only confirm that I have a Platinum charge card and I received the letter late November advising the points balance on my account on the 15th April would be doubled. As @opusman correctly points out it won't be instant and could take up to two months.

I don't think the doubling of points applies to all cards though.

Darn it - I have the Charge as well and didn't receive the letter confirming. I just rang Amex and they confirmed they will effectively double the points balance on 14 April and credit it on 15 June (2 months later). And to think.... i have been cracking my head how to transfer it out......... well that made my day... thanks guys for the advice and notification
