Points posting from EK flight

Dr FM has just done another SYD-LHR flight - all EK codes mixture of QF and EK metal - no points credited as yet (and the flights over were nearly a month ago.) Seems online claims are necessary a great deal if the time (or she is very unlucky).

Have done a few SYD<>DXB in J.
Points and SCs came through in a few days.

I did FCO-DXB on October 5, and no sign of any points. Have already put the claim in.

I'm still waiting for points to post from EK flights taken in early August. Sent a claim in to the FF platinum service centre nearly 4 weeks ago, rang them last week and their advice was to wait for another couple of weeks to see if they come through....Really? They admitted there are delays in posting from EK flights but couldn't provide a resolution. Over 2 months since the flights. This is not a good look for the 'partnership'.

Mine came through Friday, so two weeks after the flight. Terrible earn rate.

Probably asking this question in the wrong place, so apologies if this is the case.... Traveling to AKL shortly and QF are code sharing with EK. Do I earn the same points and SCs traveling on a code share flight (EK) as I would on the QF aircraft? Asking because both flights leave close to each other, prices equal but the EK product (A380) infinitely superior to an ageing 737.

You earn less points on an EK code than a QF code, and no SC on an EK code.

As I understand it, as long as it is a QF no, the metal doesn't matter - you get the status credits and points, as though it was a qantas plane. Sometimes there is a huge difference in price but if not then the codeshare works very well. I've just booked a CBR-SYD-nbo as Qantas code share all the way, but Qantas metal on 3 sectors and emirates on 3 and as I understand it I get status credits for all 6 sectors.

Muzfly, on Saturday I flew AKL-MEL on EK metal, with a QF flight number. And I was delighted to be in the (as you rightly say) infinitely better surrounds of A380, for the same price as the 737 flight. Booking with a QF flight number meant I received the same points and status/cabin bonuses that I would have on Qantas metal - and the correct points and status credits were in my account within 36 hours.

This seems to be an ongoing issue, I wonder if it still is for others, and if QF have a fix in the wings.

QFF must be doing an awful lot of manual crediting of EK points. In my case I have had 0/7 sectors that were flown on EK with a QFF number in the booking credit automatically. These were various flights among DXB, MCT and KBL between March and July this year.

However there is an upside. The last two sectors both produced op-ups from J to F. On the first I was told it was because I was QF platinum. Swings and roundabouts I guess. Nice to see EK taking their side of the agreement seriously as far as higher tier travellers go.

Cheers skip.

Do you happen to include a middle name on your ticket and/or your QFF account has a middle name?

The reason behind this question is because EK uses Mercator and it strips the spaces from names whereas Amadeus does not.

I'm wondering, have anyone got their points from these Emirates-operated (either QF numbered or EK numbered) posted into their QFF account?

Just curious how long it takes to post, and how many points gets posted :)

I flew BKK-SYD in J and points didn't post. I claimed on QF website and when I rang QF I was told it could take a month. They suggested I email E-ticket and boarding pass to expedite posting. Quick processing thereafter.

Well these latest posts have me wondering if I should be putting a claim in. I was booked as part of a group recently BNE-DXB-MCO-VCE-DXB-SIN-BNE and am QF gold. Had no issue with getting lounge access etc but no points have posted. I figured the ticket must have been in a non-earning fare class and have done a fair bit of googling and haven't been able to work out what class I was in - the ticket is vague. These recent posts have me wondering if it should have earned and it's a processing error.

Does anyone know what class Y group bookings get put into and whether they earn?
