Booked Ade-Per-Lon economy flex return, with 2x status credits, in late March for 2 Adults departing mid August and registered for business/premium econ upgrade. SMS from Qantas today advising success for business upgrade Ade-Per 72 days prior to departure? That's a first for me. Checked website and upgrade showing with points deducted.

Domestic upgrades are confirmed instantly if U class is available. International upgrades are confirmed starting 7 days before departure.

Isn't this a P1 benefit only?
Yes, up to 7 days before departure for P1, up to 72 hours for WP. I believe Gold can start from 48 hours if the flight is completely empty in J, but not sure.

I thought 24 hours international for WP ?

When will I find out if my upgrade has been successful?
