PoLi payment error - lost funds

Hi guys, this was a great thread to read! I am currently in throws of tracking down my lost money using POLI for Qantas flights! Paid for flights last February… literally at check in counter to board flight in December 2023 to be told flights not paid for… despite having booking number & travel reminders. had to pay on spot for flight again else not get to travel (Xmas holiday interstate to family) so now waiting for CBA to try to recover funds as QANTAS told me it was my bank. Not liking my chances using that avenue by the sounds. I best get back on phone to QANTAS

Not sure if you are aware, Polipayments has/had been closed down by Auspost.
So, in the end, it might be a lost cause.
If you have a read around here, and else, you will see that they (Auspost) decided to do it sometime last year or so.

If you have a read around here, and else, you will see that they (Auspost) decided to do it sometime last year or so.

Yup I had learned that. So dirty though. Why would Qantas hold my booking and even send me travel reminders … with no payment? not just for myself, my family so $2k out of pocket!

Poli like Paypay is a payment carrier transfer facility

Had this recently with Optus

My kid works in this kind of payment service area for a energy company

The payment LEFT the bank, was transferred by the provider (PayPal) then hit Optus and went “into the black hole”

3days later
We call -no no haven’t gotten the money - really ?
Back to the bank - it’s gone twice

2 weeks later a second call
Quoting duplicate payment
(In the back pocket ombudsman / whatever the airline advocate and voila )

By magic
