I'm 49 status points short of platinum. Is it possible to earn these points without doing a mattress run? Ie, dine at an Accor hotel?

Secondary question, so the status points reset on a calendar year?

Finally, I presume this is worth doing using a red hot room rate in my city at some point in time? The plat benefits look like they'll pay for themselves with ease. Have I missed something?

Hi Daver. Do you mean you have only stayed 11 of the 60 nights in a year?
Before Covid I used to retain platinum by gaining the required points but I think nowadays you need the bed nights

My apologies. My original post was terribly worded. I meant I'm 49 status points short of the 14,000 required for platinum.

I understood what you meant(!) but no, you’ll need that mattress run if you see future benefit at another place. An Ibis sale rate or something similar?
