One of my pet peeves about CX. I don't believe the load is there though to go to a better plane.

I also believe HKG-DBX is also a regional route - one of the longest ones.

I happily route through SYD for CX to HKG. Much better plane.

In the past I have always taken QF between Aus and HKG due to the 100% status bonus paid on QF, AA and BA flights to Qantas Platinum FF members. But there is no penalty for me when posting to AAdvantage, so now I can choose based on schedule and product. So perhaps a few more CX flights into the mix now, but still never HKG-BNE on CX.
