Priority Pass free visits when bank's card has been closed

I have a PP membership with two free visits, via a Bank of Melbourne card. That card account was closed some time ago. Is it necessary for the card still to be active for the free visits to work? (I'm not sure, for instance, whether a charge is sent through to the "gifting" bank and is then zeroed at their end for a "free" visit, or if PP actually has the visit credits in their system somewhere -- certainly not visible to me in the app.)

I know this is an old unanswered thread, but I'm also interested in the answer. Anyone know?
If you are still able to log into the PP account, you should be able to see what you are entitled to from there... if there are still visits showing as available, I suspect you would be ok, but the bank's T&Cs on this would say otherwise, somewhere, so it's not able to be guaranteed.

Cheers,
Matt.
