I bought lounge access with points+pay back in June this year with Velocity. I had my status review a few days ago and reached gold, I heard they do a pro rata refund for the lounge membership when you reach gold. I haven't received my refund yet, do I have to request it or does it come automatically?

Thanks.

VA Lounge Refunds are usually auto-processed within 3 weeks of reaching VFF Gold, subject to T&Cs (So I've been told recently from a friend - It's been so long since I had mine refunded); If you don't see the money on the original card of payment, call Velocity & chase up

Although I'm curious, what cash/points components did you use? As a Silver or Red?? That may cause headaches...

Interesting if they refund....
I'm quite happy with the QF method of storing QP membership. I think I have over 12 months unused payed membership with them. As i claimed membership on my tax as a business expense a couple of years ago I really wouldn't want to see it refunded.

Just an update on this thread.

After my lounge membership expired early this month I received my pro-rata refund in points. The last 8 months of my lounge membership went unused since I attained status with VA.

Qantas club refund is not provided just for getting LTG. The only allowance of a refund of Qantas club is if there is a significant change in the availability to use that membership in terms of why you purchased it. Check the Terms and conditions.

It is also worth remembering that this thread was started about Virgin, where they automatically give a refund when attaining lounge access via status.

After hitting QF LTG I got a refund for remaining QC membership extremely easily. So easily I almost thought it wasn't QF I was dealing with.

No refund here but MrP has qualified SG+ through travel for so many years the records of his last payment would be long gone.
