These are the offer T&Cs for the new promo:

<Sitewide Bonus Points: You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn and redeem points. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program terms and conditions. Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn up to 30,000 bonus Qantas Points on all Qantas Hotels booked through qantas.com/hotels from 12:01 am (AEST) 8 May 2024 until 11:59 pm (AEST) 14 May 2024 for stays with a checkout date prior to 30 June 2024. Excludes Qantas Holidays, Airbnb and Qantas Tours. If your booking is amended in the future, you will not earn the Bonus Points but will earn the points applicable for the booking at the time of amendment. Customers who spend $500 - $999 will receive 5,000 bonus Qantas Points, customers who spend $1,000 - $1,999 will receive 10,000 bonus Qantas Points, customers who spend $2,000 - $2,999 will receive 20,000 bonus Qantas Points and customers who spend $3,000+ will receive 30,000 bonus Qantas Points. There is a minimum spend threshold of $500 on a single booking to be eligible to earn bonus points. Multiple bookings at the same property for the same check-in and check-out dates with a coughulative minimum spend of $500 will be eligible to earn bonus points. The spend amount is based on cash spent. Points Plus Pay can still be used but will not contribute to the spend threshold. The full amount of the transaction for bookings made with Deposit Pay will contribute towards the spend threshold. Bonus Qantas Points will be issued to the member who has made the booking and is valid once per transaction. This is in addition to the standard earn rate of 3 points per A$1 spent on the total booking value. Qantas Points will not be earned on any amounts payable directly to the hotel. Points will be credited within 8 weeks of hotel check-out.

Buyer beware. We checked a few options for a trip to europe in June. For the promo dates Qantas Hotels were substantially more expensive than Expedia, Booking etc. Those bonus points don’t come for free! I suspect the Qantas website adds a premuim during the promo period.

A good way to check is search through TripAdvisor and click on “All deals” and it will list the price by various sites. Now, that’s not foolproof because the cheaper rates might be non-refundable v flex or different room type etc.

I usually find QF and Expedia pretty similar for a like for like room/conditions but I’ll use Booking.com or other reputable sites if they’re significantly cheaper. If it’s much the much, I’ll take the QF points when not booking direct with the hotel.

Well QF Hotels was a sleeve over Expedia. Hence the similarity

And most my early bookings before 30 June are done so yeah
What to do, what to do

I had almost the opposite situation. I was trying to book a hotel direct (in Australia) and checked some other booking sites too and the hotel is unavailable almost everywhere for my dates but on Qantas Hotels it is available. Works well because the hotels only take Visa/ Mastercard direct but I can use Amex through Qantas Hotels so double dip points + travel insurance benefits that I'd otherwise not be getting. The hotels I was looking for this booking at are small/ boutique providers not chain hotels.

Is anyone in a position of having used this offer and received their points, including the bonus?

The usual 3 x points + PC extra has posted 4 weeks following my stays but no bonus points (the 10K.) Ts & Cs give them 8 weeks so I'll wait it out but wondered on other experiences.

Replying to my own thread to say the bonus points - all 3 x lots - posted today, less than a week after the original points for each stay. So, a nice result of 50K extra points.

I received a 3k hotel bonus but no idea why. It doesn't relate to any of the recent promos. I did stay in a bunch of hotels recently but it should be either a 5k bonus or 10k bonus
