Has in the past for me, and im not aware of any changes since. Try a small transfer and check?

Yes, they do.

Note that if you use points+pay to book a stay, but later choose to cancel your reservation, the points which were "purchased" in the process of booking the points+pay stay are added to your account (along with your other refunded points), but these new points do not count to your elite status.
 
Hi do u mean the purchased points count toward status but if I where to cancel the points + pay, the recredited points does not count towards elite status ( so no double dipping)?
