Have just checked the offer again, and though it is good thru to 01MAR16, however the 10% discount expires on 08FEB, which I mis-read believing it was 09FEB. May already be too late for that.

I purchased mine early afternoon AEDST and got the 10% discount. Think you might have just missed out :(

Just my 2 cents worth on the issue of AA miles. While the actual BIS miles have been slashed for most Y passengers I wouldn't be surprised if AA begins all sorts of crazy promotions such as pass 100,000 qualifying miles and get 30,000 bonus miles or hotel offers such as the Wyndham 3000 miles for one stay crop up at a regular basis. We stayed in a couple of hotels in Bakersfield at 30 dollars a night which meant that we bought the miles for 1 cent each with a few hotel night thrown in. Guess what I am saying is that for Y passengers especially, it is time to glean through any non airline offers and take what is on offer when you can.
