With reference to the what small things make a hotel good, there are certain hotel chains that you wish you could bring home the bed or pillows with you.

Are there any chains (Hilton, HI, SPG) that allow you to purchase items such as the pillows that they use?

There certainly are. I know both Hyatt and Hilton have dedicated websites for selling basically everything from their rooms. Search Hyatt at home and Hilton at home and you should get what you're after.

Stayed at a hotel once where I really like that electric blanket. Went to Hardly Normal and bought it the next day.

Has anyone else done this? At the time it made me think there might be a definitive advantage in a company trying to get a hotel to use their product.

I sleep on a Holiday Inn pillow, I liked it so much I asked how much one cost and the hotel said I could keep it since I spend a lot of time there anyway. Now I dream of priority club points and Pointsbreaks
