Q Bag Tag Re-design?

So that DYKWIA's can put them on their carry ons and walk through the airport and onboard so everyone can see how important they are with their Gold status....

I've never understood why people use them on carry-on when they're specifically designed for checked baggage. Maybe people just really like the design?

I keep one on my cabin suitcase, as sometimes when I'm at conferences or the like, they weigh a ton with all the papers and junk. I check them in on the return leg rather than having to wrestle it on the flight. But, it is one of the original red ones, so no one thinks I'm important and tries to nick it

I have an original WP set and they did look very similar to the PS version in terms of the light grey background, but (apart from the OW Emerald logo on the back) there was a difference in the colour of the text on the front, IIRC. White in the case of WP, red (?) in the case of PS. The way to be absolutely sure is to check the back for the OW Emerald oval.

Yes mine have the emerald green on the back while the +1 has the ruby red. The fronts are identical so we will not be accused of being DYKWIA's because we are generic !!

Received new cards last week (requal) but no new tags.

I got new gold coasters last week - pale gold colour with the roo on the front. The word Qantas and one world sapphire oval on the back. The colour is the same as the new gold card.

To be fair, mine just stay on my suitcase as sometimes I check in, sometimes I don't.

Can i confirm if you upgrade your FF level for the first time (ie SG —> WP) they send you new tags?

Asking for a “friend”....

Yes
If you change status levels (SG to WP) they will send you a new set of tags with your new card.
If you retain you will only get a card and need to request more.

I was an upgrade from silver (when I sadly slipped last year) back to gold and I got the kit with new card and tags so your friend should get the kit too!

So to confirm, you went from pre-Gold to qualifying P1 within 4 months these year? That's a lot of flying.
