Hello all from a newbie and thanks in advance for any help. As a newbie, I'm not used to the standard abbreviations so I won't use them in case I get them wrong...

I'm QF gold and 1200SC from platinum (rollover 31 August).

My booked domestic trips in a mix of full and discount economy yield 90SC.

I have an "I" fare (discount business?) SYD-SIN-LHR-SYD booked. Qantas calculator says 520SC.

(Q1) Does this reduce because I'm flying "I" and not full "J"?

I've got another work trip in June to Manchester. The points calculator says 480SC for SYD-LHR-SYD, which is 40SC less than my trip that I need to stop for a few days in SIN on the way over.

(Q2) Why?
(Q3) I can't get a calculation on LHR-Manchester return on a BA/QF codeshare. I think I'll be booked ClubEurope/Full Economy. Does anyone know how many SC this is worth?

Total so far 1090SC + whatever the LHR-Manchester-LHR is worth, assuming "I" class yields full business class SCs.

Would like to know so I can plan a SC run just before rollover date if I'm within domestic trip striking distance of platinum.

Thanks to all.

SYD-LHR-SYD I assume would be one flight number, so the distance falls in one zone, where as having the stop over means that you calculate each segment differently, so thats probably the SC's add up differently

Okay someone may have a more simple way but use MileageMonkey 0.95022 to work out the mileage then Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Status Credits to check how many SC are earned.

As for the Q's no, I is still Business class as far as status credits/ff points go, just a discounted price to full J

SYD-SIN-LHR-SYD with the stopover in SIN breaks the ticket up into 2 different flight nos, hence the extra distance is calculated, rather than a straight SYD-LHR-SYD which would be the same flight no as it is one flight (each way).

LHR-MAN-LHR should be 20 sc (10 each way), and the QF Guarentee of 1,000 miles each way.
