Qanatas Domestic/International - Luggage checked through

I have just booked reward flight SYD-MEL-HKG on QF499 and QF29. There is an overnight stay in Melbourne before flying out to HKG the next morning. Will I be able to check my luggage through to HKG when I check in for my first flight at the Sydney Domestic Terminal the day before?

No. You’ll get your bags in MEL. QF won’t check bags overnight in Australia.

You won’t even get your international boarding pass, it will be two different check ins.
