with the slow down maybe they will decide JQ doesn't need them to expand to Europe and they might get deployed in a way to retire the less fuel efficient planes.
I'm not sure about this. One JQ plan was southern germany. I think there is probably a fair demand from Y travellers to get to Munich. Based on the fact that they have a codeshare on the train FRA to munich, which indicates that this is an important detination for qantas. (I think there is maybe one other DB QF codeshare). If QF could cut back on FRA services and put in low cost services to munich it might actaully save them some money. Hence maybe JQ would get the 787 first. Same, same to greece and italy.

Yes, I have family in munich so maybe my thoughts on this are baised.
