Qantas A330 business suite - has it commenced?

Out of interest does anyone else find the fact that QF has applied the name 'suite' to these new seats, when typically it is reserved for 'enclosed' F seating/bedding with doors and stuff, a little OTT. They don't even refer to their own F seats on the A380 as suites (or at least i don't think they do).

its marketing...airlines in the USA domestically call their 'higher' cabin First Class!!... airlines around the world describe their business class seats as business/first or similar, whilst the same seat can be marketed by other others as business/premier!!/upper!! class ;) ...i can also guarantee that VAs new J/C will be marketed as 'something' else too...airlines excel in OTT marketing.. I personally don't give a rats what an airlines 'calls' its Y/C P/Y J/C F/C seats...if I'm comfy...I'm happy :)

Anyone have any idea on whether QF19 Syd~Mnl on June 22 is the new configuration?

SYD-MNL is only receiving new config on very rare occasions, where they need a short flight to get things back to normal

EF shows old config with 23/30 seats blocked/allocated

Versus skybed 1/2, think suites is fair enough.

As for the various LCCs calling their PE product Business (notable exception of AirAsia) that is just wrong.

Would you say that QF35/36 MEL-SIN and SIN-MEL is a pretty safe bet for the new config ?
Relative to other asian destinations I mean ?

Safer bet, but still not enough refurbs for SIN to be guaranteed yet

It is more than "very rare"; eg. a couple of weeks ago (25/5 - 30/5), 3 out of 4 flights were the new config.
