Qantas A380 reliability issues creeping up again?

3 out of the last 4 days with a delay of at least 150 minutes on arrival for QF 63 this week. I'm on tomorrow's service, and frankly with all the issues, I'll just be happy if we get off the ground.
With that recent record I agree that just getting off the ground would be a win! Still seems like they have started A380's to JHB without enough working A380's.

Looks like it's departing from the same gate scheduled to be used by the inbound QF12 which is already on its way
I saw QF2 is also on time from LHR-SIN, so assuming that gets off the ground to SYD on time and there are no mechanical issues to attend to on arrival for either flight, it should be looking good even if they were to swap the aircraft to the inbound from SIN.

I really don't mind at this point; we're lucky to have snagged Classic Reward seats in J when they up-gauged from the 787 and I just don't want a cancellation as there is no service on Friday this week and we have a connecting flight to Namibia on Saturday. 🤞 But hey -- if we can get off on time, even better!

Paws crossed that QF will live up to your namesake tomorrow!

Big delay for QF1 from Sydney today. Lengthy estimated delay. Will have to see what the actual delay is.

Hope I can spend several hours in the FLounge in Sydney which would be a treat.

I guess today’s delay is not due to A380 reliability issues: “We regret that your flight, QF1, has been delayed and we would like to clarify why. This disruption is a result of a previous delay to the aircraft operating your flight which is arriving from Johannesburg. The previous flight was delayed due to space technology company SpaceX conducting activity over the Indian Ocean, which impacted our flight timing. We apologise for the unplanned disruption to your travel plans and are working hard to get you to your destination as soon as possible.”

Today’s SIN to LHR flight is also delayed as a consequence as well.

Interesting choice to name the company. If it were any other space technology company I doubt they would have.

Hoping some people move flights opening up more space for upgrades at the gate but will plan to eat up in the FLounge then relax onboard in Y. Might have a shower, maybe even a spa treatment if I can get one.

Interesting.
Today's proposed launch was shifted to tomorrow a few hours out. Yesterday the count got to about 30 seconds before scrub.

These SpaceX flights are becoming a damn nuisance! Surely they can do them at a time that doesn't affect commercial aircraft?

What time would that be?
No idea - but I wouldn't imagine that there would be many RPT or freighter aircraft flying between Australia and South Africa so surely SpaceX can find a timeslot which doesn't screw over Qantas all the time?
