Can you explain in a little more detail what you mean by "points match'. Points aren't matched, they're credited to your QFF account if that is the only one claiming them (you cannot earn in Air Berlin - or another scheme and also match that earn to Qantas).
Recently I took some flights in Germany and booked through Air Berlin and submitted to Qantas for points match, have got them previously but this time was rejected was it because I booked through Air Berlin
Air Berlin are a oneWorld partner and you should have earned points and Status Credits -
if the Fare Purchased qualified. Where this is purchased is not relevant.

NB: It's Status Credits that affect status, points have no bearing. However, the fare has to earn points in order for it to qualify for Status Credit earn.
