Qantas/Air Berlin FF Points Match [crediting]

Recently I took some flights in Germany and booked through Air Berlin and submitted to Qantas for points match, have got them previously but this time was rejected was it because I booked through Air Berlin, my blonde brain just isn't absorbing this and as am aiming towards GOLD any help will be awesome. BTW has anyone had any dramas contacting Emirates Customer Relations, they are driving me Bat **** crazy atm.. thanks in advance..

Hey I have just flown AB to Kraków the points are woeful 83 and 10 status credits into the QF frequent flyer account.
Don't get me started on Global blue big bad monopoly that takes your money from tax free purchases.

I've flown Airberlin many times and have always been able to get Qantas points and status credits. Whether or not you booked through airberlin is irrelevant.

Did you attach you Qantas frequent flyer number at the time of booking, or at any point before the flight? If not, what did you do to request the missing points from Qantas?

The only reason I can see that they would deny you points is if you booked using frequent flyer points, or have already credited the flight/s to another frequent flyer account.

Can you explain in a little more detail what you mean by "points match'. Points aren't matched, they're credited to your QFF account if that is the only one claiming them (you cannot earn in Air Berlin - or another scheme and also match that earn to Qantas).

Air Berlin are a oneWorld partner and you should have earned points and Status Credits - if the Fare Purchased qualified. Where this is purchased is not relevant.

NB: It's Status Credits that affect status, points have no bearing. However, the fare has to earn points in order for it to qualify for Status Credit earn.

Hi, were your AB flights on AB planes or one of their affiliates? In August I had an AB flight number but on Pegasus Airlines so no points/SC earn as Pegasus is not part of One World, despite the AB flight number.
