Qantas American Express Premium Card v Ultimate Card?

I rand Amex tonight enquiring about the Ultimate card offer I received and thought I'd mention in passing that I wasn't sure whether to go for the Ultimate card or to cancel my account which I'd also been considering. I was immediately offered a credit to my account of $250 for being a customer of good standing! This was to offset my yearly fee of $195 which I'd just paid last August.
Needless to say I'm keeping my Premium card! It shows how cutthroat the CC industry must be at the moment.

I plan to return to using my Amex Ultimate card after 31/10 which is when Westpac Kris Flyer Amex points drop from 3 to 1.5 per dollar which has been way to good to miss.Just a few days left and it can get relegated from top to use back into the drawer.
For business folks the Tax office BAS is due next week so it is an opportunity to do a final load up at $10,102 per payment ( with the $102 fee being deductible in some cases for Amex use).
