After applying/getting this card, does the $450 travel credit come into play straight away? Or is it only at the first anniversary?

From what I understand it comes into play after the annual fee has been posted and you have made a minimum payment (some say annual fee is paid!). So from month 2 say….

Wasn't sure where to post this question: if I have an active Amex card that earns MR points (Platinum Charge), and a friend successfully signs up for the QF Ultimate Amex with my referral link, will I still get a referral bonus, and if so, how many points (either MR or QFF)?

How can people sign up for a Qantas card using your referral from the charge? Support just told me that they don’t allow this

They absolutely can, eg. from my Explorer link you can scroll dowb and click on 'other cards' and choose the Qantas 100k offer, no issues at all
