Qantas App issues?

Here I am sitting here with nothing changing on my app...

It would be interesting to understand why it's happening to some and not to others - that is, what's the commonality of those affected.

Android here, with 2FA on my QF account and not seeing anything different for me.
iOS here, with 2FA on my QF account and not seeing anything different for me ☹️

I do worry for even those of us not seeing anything unusual, that there is nothing to say others out there aren't potentially getting ours. The scope is brrathtaking and absolutely horrendous.
Agreed. I wish I hadn’t opened the app this morning (before knowing of these issues). I didn’t see anyone else's details but how can we be sure our data was not accessed.

Part of the issue here is unlike say the Optus situation, its right now unclear how much and who was affected. The Optus one everyone knew they got <redacted>.

So the whole "unknown" sometimes is scarier than knowing the bad news.

If I wake up tomorrow morning in a QF lounge somewhere then I will know that I have been affected!

On the light side - who for into the CL lounge today?

On a serious note with the screenshots posted, perhaps some editing to cover up more details like flight info and other more udentifying details may be helpful in the interests of privacy? I know nobody has posted F numbers or full names, but perhaps even "Alan J" with a LHR-DUB flight info may be enough for some people out there....

Alan J DUB-IKA would be better...

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Did anyone who saw others info click on the card and able to bring up otgers' digital cards with full name, ff# etc?

Just heard a guy on radio claim he logged un this moring and he had booked 4xW tix to LHR in Jan that were cancelled and he was refunded. I actually think this is not related to the app thing but probably the usual ticketing BS, but still.. optics are terrible.

My understanding is no, but with an upcoming booking, surname and the associated PNR you can find the FF#
Sure, but the surname doesn't show on the app opening page, of course it does with the BP's which some have gotten which is, of course, a terrible privacy breach.

For those that are still showing random people (or have had it)

Was the "Upcoming" flight page accessible.
That would indicate how easily someone would be able to access your data if you didn't have a flight today.

PNR, Name, FF, Flight details are all available on the next flight page. but only PNR , destination and first name is on the home page.

Unlike the Optus situation - this doesn't even seem to have required a Russian hacker - Qantas have done this all on their own...

It wasn't accessible for me, but I would say 80% of the accounts I had access to had flights within the next week or so (and were coming up in the Home page), which feels far higher than the population average would be.

I could only see the details of flights in the next 24 hours. Domestic flights I could click Manage booking and view phone number and email address, full name and FF number. International bookings I could view the same as domestic plus APIS including Passport Number, Nationality and DOB.
