Hi everyone,
I’ve been looking into flights and noticed some odd scheduling gaps in the April 2025 Qantas flights between Launceston and Melbourne/Sydney. I was hoping someone here might have more insight or knowledge about possible schedule adjustments or changes to aircraft.
For example, QF1511 from MEL-LST is scheduled to arrive at 9:05 am, while the outbound LST-SYD QF1520 is listed for departure at 11:40 am. Since QF1511 seems to operate QF1520, the time gap doesn’t seem to add up — it looks longer than it should be.
Similarly, QF1519 (SYD-LST) has an arrival of 3:55 pm, but QF1516 (the LST-MEL flight) is supposed to depart Launceston at 2:30 pm. Again, that timing doesn’t quite align if they’re using the same aircraft.
I’ve also heard some chatter that they might swap out the A220 on these routes for another aircraft type, so I’m wondering if the discrepancies might be related to that.
Has anyone else noticed these timing inconsistencies or heard about potential schedule updates? Any insights would be much appreciated!
