It won’t.
I'd go further than that.... I think it might actually have a negative effect.
The gumpy crew might single you out for "special" treatment because you are showing off your status like a new pair of LV pumps....

I think Marketing has branded either Qantas Cool Aid or QoolAid... I can't recall. I'm sure I'll get five emails about it in the next week :D

My friend formally status PLATINUM. Now due to misfortune he not fly as frequent and therefore downgraded to status GOLD. But he still like to use PLATINUM tags. When I go through security or into lounge with him I like to say loudly “why not put GOLD tags back on? Why you pretend to be PLATINUM?!” and he get very embarrassed and annoy at me and lounge lady and security guard laugh.

I use my QF coasters all the time both on luggage and hand luggage purely as a way to identify the bag with my contact details written on them.

In addition, I put them on my kids school bags only for identification purposes.

Purely a case of a need to label stuff and a QF label solution. No wanker intentions involved.

My status goes up and down but I don't have any intention of swapping out my current bag tags to follow suit.

I have better things to do with my time.

I don’t think they could actually give a toss what tags we have on it. I very much dislike LV too.

I use a tag on my carry on all the time. One on the carry on and one on my large suitcase if I’m checking one.
The carry on one serves multiple purposes.
Allows me to get into the Premium Security screening without waving card or BP, has my name and mobile on it should the bag get lost.
Also should it need to be valet checked then it has my ID. Happened twice this month on AA.

But there’s no guarantee that having a high-status Q-tag on your carry-on matches your actual status 😜.

I wonder whether they’ll take any notice of mine? 🤪:

My status is unchanged since I got it all those years ago... :p

Count me as another one who thought it had permanent information that it was me on it, and also as someone who has tags on their hand luggage. Those who travel domestically in the US will be used to having their hand luggage unceremoniously hoiked for checkin and if you don’t get to the gate in time for priority boarding you are not immune!

I want to get hold of a P1 tag for my carry on just to do an experiment in one of the combined premium lounges.
See if it gets me champagne instead of domestic sparkling.
Although I have found asking specifically for champagne is usually enough to do the trick.

But if anyone would care to donate a tag in the interests of science let me know ...

Quick tip, fly more and Qantas will give you a couple for free. ;) :p I did give away 4 earlier this year.
Such amazingly profound insights, you must be an astrologist.
