Re: Qantas Birthday offers

I received the birthday special today. The $30 hotel voucher will come in handy.

Re: Qantas Birthday offers

I just got the email this morning. It reads "Register and make a new booking by 11.59pm AEST 8 February 2017 and travel between 1 February 2017 and 1 June 2017.Register and make a new booking by 11.59pm AEST 8 February 2017 and travel between 1 February 2017 and 1 June 2017".

I just had a ticket booked last week for April travel. Does this mean I just need to register before the deadline, I will be qualified for the bonus?

thanks

No. You'd need to register first and then make a new booking, as the email states.

Re: Qantas Birthday offers

Thanks Eminere. to be precise, my travel agent has held the ticket for me. A PRN ref has been issued but I have not paid for the ticket yet. If it is not eligible, i will have to rebook and probably pay a bit more now.

As far as Qantas systems go, the date of the creation of the PNR is what determines whether the booking will be eligible for an offer. In your case you need a PNR generated after you have registered for the offer.

Re: Qantas Birthday offers

My travel agent was able to rebook the flight with No extra cost. prob solved.

I did try try to work out how much triple points would be for someone who hardly flys...

So it's either the base rate, or the minimum points guarantee (which ever is higher). If you go to the Qantas points calculator and enter in your flights, you can triple whatever comes back. Elite tier (silver and above) would exclude any additional points earned due to status.
