Qantas booking showing 2 FF numbers

Hey all, this is my first post, so apologies if I miss anything.

I was logged into my Qantas account making a booking, I removed my NB QF passenger details and entered my OWE AY number onto the booking.
After payment, both my QF and AY FF numbers appear on the booking now. Is this a new thing or an IT glitch?

I was able to see some better seating options initially presumably as my OWE AY was applied. However, after a refresh it appears that my QF NB applied instead which removed a lot of the available options.

Another annoying thing I noticed lately is that when adding my OWE AY FF number, the Qantas website never seems to allow me to select seats for free on A330 flights. I was able to select a seat on one leg of my trip that is on a 737-800, but the return leg on an A330-200 shows a charge of $15. I was also unable to select seats on a SYD-SIN flight both on A330s even though initially it was showing as free, is this another Qantas thing?

Use the Royal Jordanian MMB to change your FF number to a non-existent QF number (i.e. your QF number with an extra 0 at the front).
Then, use RJ MMB again to change your FF number to your AY number. Your seat selection will then reflect as Emerald on QF MMB.

Don't use QF MMB while logged into your QFF account. Always log out first, otherwise it attaches a second FF card to your booking and reduces your seat selection.

Thanks for the advice! I managed to get it to just have my AY number, but it's still not allowing me select the seat without paying. It shows that it's free to select, but when I go to submit it, it then recalculates and says it's $15.
