Qantas Business Class meals & menus

The tray really does look quite ordinary. I can’t help but think that even if they’d used a lighter coloured model; white, beige or a light grey, it may have looked a little less like chow time at Wentworth 🙃
Or put the tablecloth on the tray so it overlaps the tray and still covers the table.

HBA-CBR 13:35 QF Link Embraer 190 flight.

Waters offered after boarding. Two meal choices - beef tagine or lamb with mash and veg. I’ve never really been a fan of tagine so went with the lamb.

I enjoyed it. Quite substantial. Lamb was very tender and tasty. But it was very oily. Not sure if it comes out in the pic but half the plate seemed to be swimming in oil. Tasty though so no complaints.

Tagine looked a little dry but pax across the aisle said it was tasty. Good to have some different options at last.

Excellent service from team leader Alexis throughout. Including offers of chocolates, nuts, cheese and crackers and waters a few minutes before descent.

Beef and chicken both on the dry and tough side and potato things with the beef mostly cold. White wine was warm. Leaves were without dressing and remained untouched. Tray seemed to just get in the way and reduce the amount of space.

Service generally pretty ho-hum. They went through the motions, no personalized service and no proactive drink refills etc. Had to ask several times for a glass of water at one stage. Also strange getting two main meals. After waking up, I felt like breakfast the second time around even though it was approaching late afternoon in Sydney.
That whole beef dish just looks dry to me

The menu font has also changed. I much prefer the previous font; this one looks so generic, as if someone had just typed it up and printed it out from MS Word.

QF44 1st December - Denpasar to Sydney
Menu coded as Nov24.
TBD if I'll partake - started boarding just after 10pm local, and I've got INT-INT transfer in SYD. Onto QF3, hopefully.

My guess is that it’s got something to do with the inclusion of the new dietary flags and nobody has cared to do a final look over of the menu, and it’s managed to get out on every menu including F. Small mistakes like this cheapen the experience over time (tray service, kids knives, small plates).

QF3 2nd December - Sydney to Auckland leg only. Sorry NYC-bound travellers, but AKL is as far as I'll get on this trip.
Menu is coded Nov24.
Fair chance of participation in this one.

QF11 J on 16 Nov.
New style tray service, FAs were clearly getting used to it. No perceivable difference to me as a pax, as I recall, but the week before travel was full-on, as have the past two weeks of our Schoolies trip. 😉IMG_5549.jpeg

I had the steak, very tasty.
Opted for no dessert, nighky unusual for me, but none appealed.

My brekky
IMG_5873.jpeg

The Teen’s GF brekky, which seemed to match an item on the menu. She did not like the egg white omelette and ate little of it.

Her main was some kind of prawns with rice; she was asleep when it was served, and wouldn’t have eaten it anyway.

Dom J offerings post 5pm on golden triangles have all been fairly varied of late.

Today was falafel salad or Balinese chicken

Quite enjoyed it and person nextdoor polished off the curry

A few of the different options from the last month below.
