Qantas Business Class meals & menus

NTL/BNE yesterday had the prawn ravioli as well and I can confirm it was inedible. Myself and four others took one taste and decided hunger was the better option. Even the attendant was embarrassed to serve it. Also tried the 'Ploughman's Lunch' SYD/BNE a couple of weeks ago as it was all they had after the first row (7pm flight) and it was a joke. How hard is it to put an edible cheese and a couple of crackers together? Honestly the prepacked items in the cool cabinet at Coles is superior.

Didn't think of taking a photo and it would have embarrassed the CSM if they saw me. We both knew how bad it was. 1st world problem and to be honest I don't see the need for a hot meal on such a short flight. But for heaven's sake Qantas, if you're going to do something at least out in more than a passing effort.

How do we suggest to the Qantas Board members that at least once a month they eat a random meal from the Qantas menu? Kept warm in an aircraft hotbox for a couple of hours and served in the same plates. Even better, rather than boast about their Neil Perry menu, the in-flight magazine features the Board taste-testing the range? Qantas catering has become a huge joke.

Had the snapper for dinner.
Bread nice and soft. Perfectly torn apart by the ice cold, rock hard butter.
The potatoes and vege needed a little bit of salt, but as usual, the salt in the packet was all clumped up.
Fish was tasty though.

Breakfast was this cold soba, cucumber salad thingy.
A bit too sour for my taste.

SYD-HBA 19:30 flight. Two poor options for such a flight time: cheese plate or 4 cheese pizza.

Pizza was tasty enough, and the separate small serve of parmesan and leaves a good touch. But overall quite rich and got a bit 'samey' halfway through.

Superb service from CSM Dale, who I have flown with a few times now. Constant offers throughout flight. Came round with (you guessed it) cheese and crackers just before descent. Lucky I like cheese...

I know Tassie is known for their cheeses, but oh boy............

Have to admit, it does look delicious. Yes, damn rich, though.... a few top ups to a full bottle of wine with that would probably be needed.

Kind of would pass for some version of a grilled cheese sandwich / cheesy toastie.

Can't remember the last time I had pizza del quattro formaggio. What cheeses would they use in that?
