Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I'd be interested to know if many of those who travelled from Hobart on the early morning flights missed out on meals all together. Apart from status credits, what's the point of travelling in business class if there are no meals served?

For me it’s the seats that are most important.
I travel a bit for work on the morning flights and I reckon I accept Brekky on probably 1 out of 20 flights. Most airlines don’t serve a breakfast that I would eat so I just grab a coffee and something in the lounge. The seat is the most important thing for me
That doesn’t mean it’s right or acceptable the airlines don’t serve a breakfast at all

Agree. It’s the not being sandwiched between two burly pax thing!

I guess the 6am departures miss out as there is no catering at HBA. Never do those flights anymore so don’t notice but I’ve said a couple of times that I think the mid morning flights are over-catered!

My last few trips SYD>MEL and back I have just asked for a cup of tea, whatever time of day it is. I usually fill up at my destination at a restaurant or sometimes in the lounges.

QF3 SYD-AKL Fri 14 March

Thanks for sharing! Taking this flight next month and was wondering what the menu might look like.

They are bringing forward the scheduled departure time to 0910 however, not sure if that changes it to a breakfast service or still considered lunch.

A fast flight, just somewhat over 2.5hrs in the end. We arrived about an hour early.

Now, the food:

I had the omelette. I thought it was OK.

Mr Katie wanted the Avo on toast, but apparently the crucial ingredient of avocado was not loaded.
He had the omelette and thought it was yuck.

I wish I’d not bothered with eating and had napped after getting up around 3:45am to get ready and get from the Hilton to AKL.
