Qantas Business Class Sale

Don't make me get the ice cold water.... or the huge laundry basket and a big heavy rock. :p

Another 2-for-1 premium sale would be very nice. :)

This sale doesn't seem like much except "buy these now before we jack prices back up to pre-GFC times".

I am hearing you about how good it would be to see another 2-for-1 sale, even the $1.9k Y+ fares like a few weeks back (and yes, I did grab a couple of those).

As for the ice cold water, basket or rock, my Mum tried them and more... "Epic Fail" I must say... lol

Not to drag up an old post - but is seemed better to put this here than start another thread...

Has anyone else noticed that sometime in the last couple of days, the comparatively "cheap" (to QF standard J fares) to the US from OZ have dissapeared? The fare basis was IAUSAX9 and it was a year round that had been running for a few months (not publiscised anywhere that I recall). It put a return to the US at about $7.5k from memory. Went to book one yesterday and prices are back to $16.5k return!

Looking at the premium cabins on E/F for a few dates, I can't see that they are flying very full, so maybe this is a pre-cursor to the reduction in capacity likely to flow from the seating reconfigurations?

The US to OZ J fares have not disappeared though:

Yep I get all excited when I get an email notification of a reply! But then all  when it's nothing good!

Yes the fares have been gone for a while now, I was about to book one and it was about $7K return which is a bargain for J for AUS-USA-AUS.

V Australia still have $6300 return fares for most of next year AUS-USA-AUS.

Also 3 bonus Amex points per $1 spent with them

So with up to 4.5 Amex points per $1 spent it's a great deal

Looks like the sale fare has come back...looks a bit more expensive than before.

From the QF Industry Site...

North America Fare Update
05 February 2010A new sale fare has been released, effective 06 February 2010, the Australia to USA RT Limited Duration Sale Fare (IAUSAX9)

Edit: Price is $7463+ tax BNE-JFK

I know this thread is about Business class fares for Qantas, but does anyone know of some Qantas cheap fares SYD-EZE ? I'm looking to travel at the end of Dec '10 (any date from 26th-31st Dec), returning possibly in early Feb 2011?

If not, any whispers about a possible sale on fares coming up?

Thanks

Heh. Anyone want to give out a user name and password to the Qantas industry site so we can have a gander???

One of the fastest ways for a travel agent to get in big trouble with Qantas! Not going to happen...
